Rachid SkalliPrivate local guide in Fes
Discover Fes beyond the obvious
Walk through a medina that has been lived in for more than a thousand years, with a local guide who shares its stories, its crafts and the quiet corners most visitors pass by.
Why a guide
The Fes Medina is a maze of lanes with no cars and few street signs. With someone who grew up reading it, the walls start to make sense: which door leads to a working tannery, which arch is nine centuries old, which workshop still weaves by hand.
You set the pace. We can spend an hour with one artisan, stop for mint tea when the heat rises, or keep walking until the light goes gold over the rooftops.

Your guide
I was born and raised in the old medina of Fes, I studied history, and I am a certified guide. So as we walk I can tell you not only what you are looking at, but why it was built that way and who was here before. What I enjoy most are the details people walk straight past: a medieval water clock most visitors never notice, the secret behind how a street got its name, the guild mark carved above a workshop door.
